My project work, campaign and copy writing skills have helped charities and businesses alike to improve brand awareness, exceed campaign targets and feature in national publications.

I’ve worked in digital communications for public sector organisations including Sussex Police and Brighton & Hove City Council.

I also have media relations experience in roles at Alzheimer’s Society and local charities such as Allsorts Youth Project.

Some of my work...

Child Sexual Exploitation nude selfies campaign: project lead, insights team member, copy writer, social media engagement.

As a Sussex Police Communications Manager I worked with the Insight Adviser and operational leads to develop a campaign to raise awareness of the risks of taking and sending nude selfies, creating engagement with key audiences.

The animation was created with Buff Motion.

The campaign was created to highlight the risks of sending nude selfies to young people, parents and carers. It featured two videos and was developed primarily for Snapchat and Instagram but also gained attention on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.

The Snapchat engagement led to improved engagement with hard to reach younger audiences and developed relationships with victims, who developed the trust and confidence to report incidents they previously hadn’t.

Featured in The Metro, The Mirror and The BBC, along with local online and offline publications.

Other forces requested to use the videos for campaigns – including The Met, Devon and Cornwall, Dorset and Surrey Police.

Content and social media

Group and one-to-one training sessions for colleagues at Brighton & Hove City Council, Sussex Police, Alzheimer’s Society and Allsorts Youth Project.

These sessions have focused on content development and technical aspects of social media channels.

Press and PR relations

Whilst at Alzheimer’s Society I managed media for the South East and Central West regions of the UK. I had articles, videos and press releases featured in The Metro, The Times, The Mirror as well as local publications.

I also organised interviews which featured on BBC South East radio and TV.
